You can tell by the laugh in the below video, it's a bit of an IYKYK topic.

Let's talk about a practice that is widely prevalent in Muslim homes but may be unfamiliar to some - using a jug or douche shower spray for cleaning after nature's call.

In Islam, cleanliness is given great importance, especially before each of the 5 daily prayers.

Muslims perform ablution to ensure they are clean for prayer. Therefore, using a jug or douche shower spray after using the washroom is a common practice.

But what do you do when you're not at home or in a place where these facilities are not available?

This is where improvisation comes in...

Enter the well-known Lucozade sports bottle!

A makeshift Rolls-Royce equivalent of the douche shower spray. The nozzle on the Lucozade sports bottle provides the perfect stream of water for said purpose.

Now, two takeaways:

1) If you're a non-Muslim and come across a Lucozade bottle in the washroom, it's best to avoid refilling, to quench your thirst 🤣🤣🤣.

2) Employers, are your workplace facilities truly inclusive? If you're not sure, get in touch with the Muslim Employment Charter to find out how we can help 😊 .
